Diego González (born November 29, 1990 as Diego Andrés González Bonetta) is a Mexican singer, actor and musician. He is best known for playing Rocco in the Mexican soap opera Rebelde. He recently recorded his self-titled debut album with his first single, Responde in 2005 and a Brazilian version for the album, with songs in Portuguese was recorded in 2006. At the moment, the album was released in Mexico, Brazil and Chile. He is of primarily Spanish and Italian ancestry.
Biography
Diego came famous from the reality TV. show, Código F.A.M.A.. He came in 5th place in the American Idol-like show. His participation in the show opened many doors for Diego. His first telenovela was produced by Rosy Ocampo, “Alegrijes y Rebujos”, in which he gave life to the character Ricardo. But he became really popular in the telenovela “Mision S.O.S” in which he played Christian and for that role, he was nominated for best actor at the Tvynovelas Awards. He was invited to the United International Pictures to lend his voice to the younger son from the Spencer family in the cartoon Thunderbirds. He participated in many other things such as the Teleton 2003 and the 2004 Athens Olympics. He then went on to record songs for the Mision S.O.S soundtrack. The soundtrack went double platinum and was nominated for a Latin Grammy Award. Diego presented his first song "Aquí Voy" written by Mario Domm. It has became one of the most played songs in the Big Brother 3 and Big Broyther VIP program. To prepare for his debut album, Diego took lessons with a professional singer and vocalist named Seth Riggs. He was the teacher of many big acts, such as, Quincy Jones, Michael Jackson, Madonna, and Janet Jackson, just to name a few. Since Diego was little he has shown off his singing skills throughout telenovelas, but besides being a huge actor, his dreams were to pursue a singing career. And today, he is signed to EMI Music México. He is already working on songs from his first album. He visited Argentina in 2005 to work with producer Cachorro Lopez, who produced many huge and talented acts, such as his co-stars, RBD. He plays alongside them in the highly successful telenovela, Rebelde. He plays Rocco, a young rebellious guy like the rest of his friends and the only thing that interests him is music, which is very relative to Diego himself. In December 2005 Diego had the opportunity to participate in the Teleton to perform his single, "Solo Existes Tú", one of the songs that will be on his debut album, which was dedicated to his girlfriend Melissa Jacome. Rebelde ended on June 2 and will have a movie. Diego said that he will not be able to participate in the movie because he will be promoting his debut album.

Diego's debut album was released in Mexico, Chile and Brazil in the year, 2005. For the first time, the album will be released in the United States on April 24. The album will be available for digital sale on April 3.[1] The first single, Responde has already made it to #13 on the Mexican charts.

* He opened Hilary Duff's concert in Mexico at the El Palacio de los Deportes.
* Diego toured with successful group RBD in Brazil, opening 12 concerts including a concert at the biggest stadium of the world Maracanã in October 8, 2006.
